There are lots of ways to play or watch field hockey in Illinois.  From early elementary recreation and education programs, to competitive middle and high school, Illinois has a lot to offer youths who want to play.

Illinois has also seen an increase in adult leagues as well, with opportunities to play pick-up field hockey for fun,  or more competitive league play in both indoor and outdoor scenarios.  You can play year round in Illinois at any age.

A mainstay of field hockey in Illinois has been the robust collegiate play, with three Division I program.  It’s always worthwhile to watch athletes from around the country and world play in Illinois, see new techniques and watch the advanced play on the pitch!  There are also clubs at some universities which are great places to play with good competition.
